A SERIOUS upgrade!


Why make an ordinary BLT when you can make it extraordinary by adding homemade tangy remoulade sauce and crispy fried shrimp? For lunch today, I made my new Fried Shrimp Bacon Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich, or FSBLT and it is a total winner, not to mention easy!


While the bacon was crisping in the oven, I made the remoulade sauce - all in the food processor. Lime juice, canola oil, red onion, scallions, chives, celery, garlic, horseradish, whole grain mustard, Dijon mustard, ketchup, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, and pepper. It sounds like a lot, but you just throw it all into the food processor and let it do all of the work! The flavor is worth it.


I coated the shrimp in seasoned flour, egg, and panko bread crumbs before frying until crispy. From there, all I had to do was build the sandwiches! Easy peasy! Watch the video for more,

In my next post, I'll show you how I upgraded two more dishes for dinner tonight - ordinary grilled barbecue chicken and macaroni salad. (Hint - MAJOR success as well with mouth-watering results!)
