Best. Breakfast. Ever.

After last night's 1950's Diner themed dinner, I decided to go a little fancier for breakfast so I made two diner staples and took up them to the next level!

I was craving sticky buns and I was craving pancakes, but making both seemed to be a bit overkill, therefore meet my newest recipe creation - Sticky Bun Pancakes! I cannot even begin to tell you how good these are! Adding buttermilk made them so light and fluffy, in addition to the amazing sticky bun flavors - brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, pecans, raisins, and a sprinkling of maple sugar - plus of course, warm maple syrup. I will be writing this recipe because I NEED to make this again STAT!

Pouring the batter over bubbling brown sugar butter....seriously how could this be anything but amazing?!?!

And I don't know about you, but in this house, eating pancakes without bacon is an unforgivable sin! Therefore, I had to make a tray of Brown Sugar Black Pepper Bacon. Thick cut bacon works best, but any type will do. Just sprinkle on a generous layer of brown sugar and lots of fresh cracked black pepper. The aroma in this house this morning.....do I even need to tell you?
